Maltco presents a cheque of €6,000 to the RGF for a scholarship at the UOM on responsible gaming research
Maltco Lotteries has presented a cheque of €6,000 to the Responsible Gaming Foundation for a scholarship at the University of Malta on responsible gaming research being conducted at a local level.
Helpline 1777: Monday to Sunday 6.00 am-6.00 pm
The Responsible Gaming Foundation‘s helpline 1777 is currently providing service from 6.00 am till 6.00 pm, seven days a week. The Responsible Gaming Foundation is aiming to increase its exposure and efficiency to a 24 hour basis in order to be of aid to people who are currently suffering from a gambling addiction or problematic gambling.
Launch of the National Gambling Helpline 1777
The Responsible Gaming Foundation, which was founded in 2014, launched another of its projects for this year. Indeed, a National Helpline was set up to provide support and guidance to those inviduals, family members or significant other who are experiencing any problems related to gambling. Individuals in need can contact the Helpline either through its freephone 1777 or through a chat facility which can be easily accessed through the Responsible Gaming Foundation's website www.rgf.org.mt. Callers can choose to remain anonymous and any obtained information will be treated confidential.
A conjunction meeting between RGF and Maltco
The Chairman of the Responsible Gaming Foundation Hon. Silvio Schembri together with RGF staff held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Acting CEO of Maltco Mr. Vasileios Kasiotakis and Ms Gertrude Borg Marks, Corporate Communications and PR Manager of Maltco where various interesting topics were discussed with both parties agreeing on further collaboration in different methods between each other.

Research and training related to problem gambling in Malta / Stħarriġ u taħriġ relatat mal-vizzju tal-logħob f’Malta
Permezz tal-gazzetta ta’ kull nhar ta’ Ħadd It-Torċa, il-Fondazzjoni għal Logħob Responsabbli qiegħda tippreżenta l-Proġett ”Ħu Azzjoni Kontra l-Vizzju tal-Logħob f’Malta” fi sfond tal-istatistika li ġiet imħabbra mill-Awtorità tal-Logħob f’Diċembru li għadda dwar il-konsum tas-servizzi tal-logħob f’Malta għas-sena 2017 taħt il-ħarsien tas-Segretarju Parlamentari l-Onorevoli Silvio Schembri u s-CEO tal-Awtorità tal-Logħob Heathcliff Farrugia.
Maltco gives a €50,000 contribution towards the Responsible Gaming Fund
Maltco Lotteries presented a contribution of €50,000 towards the Responsible Gaming Fund to the Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth Jose Herrera, present at the Press conference were also Silvio Schembri, Chairman of the Responsible Gaming Foundation and Edwina Licari on behalf of the Malta Gaming Authority.
